DAY BY DAY
Your Iceland itinerary
Based on the published 2026 brochure. Activities and routing are subject to VIPTrips confirmation.
Day 1: Reykjavik
Arrive in Reykjavik and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2: Reykjavik
Tour Parliament House, Austurvollur Square, Hofdi House, and Tjornin Lake. Visit the Arbaer Open-Air Folk Museum and enjoy an evening dinner.
Day 3: Reykjavik → Reykjanes Peninsula → Reykjavik
Spend the day exploring the Reykjanes Peninsula with a stop at Bessastadir. Continue to Lake Kleifarvatn to see geothermal activity, then relax or swim in the warm mineral-rich waters of the Blue Lagoon.
Day 4: Reykjavik → Golden Circle → Vik
Visit Thingvellir National Park, the hot springs at Geysir, and the two-tiered Gullfoss waterfall. Continue to the coastal town of Vik and its black-sand beaches.
Day 5: Vik → Skaftafell National Park → Vik
Begin the day in Skaftafell National Park near Iceland’s highest peak. The brochure includes a dinner cruise amid floating icebergs and glaciers; confirm the cruise arrangements with VIPTrips.
Day 6: Vik → Reykjavik
Travel through pastures, sand flats, and glacial rivers to Skogar and its waterfall. Visit Skogar’s Folk Museum, then a traditional Icelandic horse farm before returning to Reykjavik.
Day 7: Reykjavik
Spend a day at leisure exploring the capital’s galleries and museums. Gather for an evening farewell dinner.
Optional: Whale watching or a Super Jeep glacier excursion. Confirm availability and any additional cost.
Day 8: Reykjavik
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight home.
